2021 Vesevo Beneventano Falanghina IGT - Campania

FALANGHINA = can be considered a semi – aromatic variety, showing its intense and luscious fruit as well as its balanced acidity provides length and freshn

VINIFICATION = Soft press, must’s static settling, low temperature fermentation between 12 – 14 Degrees C, lees batonnage, cold stabilization, filtration.

COLOUR = Bright straw yellow.

BOUQUET = Intense aroma, quite persistent and fruity.

FLAVOUR = Medium bodied, well balanced, quite intense and persistent.

RECOMMENDED WITH = Easy to drink, great as an aperitif, matches light main courses, white meat, young cheese, ideal with fish.

2021 Vigneti Zabu Sensuale Grillo - Sicilia

VINEYARDS = Our grapes come from Sambuca di Sicilia, a small village in the province of Agrigento, on the steep slopes of hilly area overlooking the Arancio lake. The vineyards are at 400 – 500m A.S.L. facing south-east and grown on 100% limestone soil. The age of the vineyards is 15 – 20 years old.

COLOUR = Pale lemon colour with green reflections.

BOUQUET = The nose presents a refined bouquet with fragrant lime scents, white peaches, grapefruits and hints of passionfruit and tarragon.

FLAVOUR = Sensuale Grillo, a white of enveloping elegance, offers great persistence and extraordinary crisp acidity and minerality on the palate.

RECOMMENDED WITH = Excellent with oysters, caviar and crabs. Highly recommended with fish soup, light risotto, cous cous and fresh cheeses. Great also with smoked fish

2021 Mesa ‘Giunco’ Vermnetino Sulcis Sardegna

PRODUCTION ZONE = The sulcis area in the far south west of Sardinia.

CLIMATE = A Mediterranean climate, with scattered low annual rainfall mainly in Autumn and Winter months, frequent mistral winds, high Summer and Spring temperatures, mild Autumn and mild to cool and dry Winters.

SOIL = The Vermentino grows on alluvial deposits and cemented Aeolian sandstone with clay loam texture, formed during the Pleistocene. The soil pH is slightly alkaline, well structured, with a good level of stony particles, rich in calcium, magnesium and potassium.

HARVEST = Manual in 20kg crates between the end of August and the beginning of September after thinning of the bunches post veraison followed by careful selection before final delivery to the winery.

VINIFICATION = Grapes are chilled at 10 Degrees C before destemming and gentle pressing. The first fractions, the most prized, are cold decanted for 48 hours before fermentation is begun and kept at between 15 – 18 Degrees C. The wine is left on the lees for at least 4 months. The wine is bottle aged for at least 1 month before sale.

COLOUR = Bright straw yellow. AROMA = Intense with citrus zest, white fleshed fruit and tropical fruits with Balsamic notes from Mediterranean shrubs and hints of iodine.

TASTE = Tasting is energetic and quick fire yet all embracing, freshness and saltiness dictate the rhythm and underpin the aromatic fruity and Balsamic hints.

FOOD PAIRINGS = Fish soup, crustaceans, filled pastas, fish dishes and creamy cheeses

2019 Cielo 3 Passo Rosso Negroamaro, Sangiovese (Organic)

STORY = 3 Passo, meaning 3 Steps in Italian because the wine is produced following these 3 steps. 1. Partial Appassimento (Grape Drying) to get a more concentrated fruitness. 2. Over pumping of the must in a tank at cold temperature to extract sweet tannins and dark colour. 3. Ageing in oak to enhance smoothness and longevity.

COLOUR = Deep red with garnet notes.

BOUQUET = Intense and mature fruit, with oak notes.

FLAVOUR = Rich and mature fruit, with soft oak hints. A muscular wine, unique for complexity and harmony.

RECOMMENDED WITH = Great match with flavourful first meals or red meats.

2020 IONIS LECTUS NERO DI TROIA IGP

Grapes: Nero di Troia 100%

Maturation: As soon as grapes are ripe, they are harvested, destemmed, pressed and carried on to tanks. The must becomes fermented at a controlled temperature for about six, eight days with pumping for the first two thirds of the fermentation.

Refining: Marcs are excluded from the “new wine” which is subjected to the malolactic fermentation that is often primed by the enologist. After the malolactic fermentation the wine is cleaned and kept in stainless steel tanks until the bottling.

Maturation: Stainless steel 12 months and then refined in bottles. A wine that is the best expression of it’s land – Molise.

Fascinating in its essence. Obtained from Tintilia grapes in purity and characteristic by it’s Ruby-colour and brightness.

Very different and distinctive on the nose, with aromas of ripe berries, black cherry and blackberry.

With sensations reminiscent of liquorice root and black pepper. The palate is really wonderful and exciting.
