2021 In Praise of Shadows Komorebi Grenache
This is from the Smart Vineyard in Clarendon, from a block planted in 1971.
Exotic spice and perfume, cherry and raspberry, cocoa, bergamot. It’s medium-bodied, fine and red fruited, with a fine pumice stone feel to tannin, succulence of strawberry and spice, cool acidity, delicate and lacy, all the sweet almond and fine tannin grip on a very long fresh finish.
Texture is super, all dusty and brightly lit. So lovely, and beautifully made.
